What

Want to learn how to use the darkroom or need to refresh your darkroom skills? This workshop will cover the basic operation of a film camera, film processing and printing in the darkroom. Participants will shoot a roll of black & white film, process their film and use the darkroom to print their negatives. After this one day workshop, participants will have the skills needed to take part in the Darkroom Open Studio at the Hardesty Arts Center. This 5 hour workshop is for all ages. Participants younger than 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. A working film camera is needed for this workshop. If participants do not have a film camera, one of the instructor’s personal film cameras will be provided to be used in class only. Participants must bring the following supplies: Minimum of one roll of black & white film 25 sheets of 5x7 or 8x10 black & white photographic paper. All supplies can be purchased locally at Apertures Photo. Cost of supplies range from $25 to $45.
