Many Greek immigrants settled in Tulsa in the 20th century and brought with them their unique set of traditions and beliefs. In 1925, a number of Greek families began to raise money to build a Greek Orthodox church. In May 1927, construction began on Holy Trinity Church, and the first religious services were held in 1928. The church moved to its current location in September 1969.
Each year the church sponsors Tulsa's annual Greek Festival, which offers delicious home-cooked Greek foods, ethnic dancing, shopping for homemade Greek pastries, Greek jewelry and gifts, and imported foods.
