Set on the Arkansas River, the Reynolds Floating Stage and Amphitheater is managed by the River Parks Authority. With views of the downtown skyline, the park encompasses 800 acres along the the river banks and offers cultural events at the River West Festival Park.
According to the Authority, the $300,000 floating stage was donated by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation and opened in 1985. Federal funds paid for amphitheater seating. Performance space is 1,600 square feet under a retractable vinyl fabric, supported by 300 square feet of back stage, with two small dressing rooms and a restroom.
Past shows included Bob Dylan, The Moody Blues, Bruce Hornsby, Robert Palmer and an array of local music acts.
